Entirely unique and one-of-a-kind, Perla Valtierra’s dinner plates are hand-thrown, oxide glazed and fired at 1200° by Valtierra’s team of 20 artisans in Bajío, Mexico. The blue rustic design and scalloped rim nods to a local pottery tradition in Dolores, Mexico which dates back to colonial time.

Valtierra’s team of 20 artisans use the teachings of philosopher Soetsu Yanagui to create hand-thrown ceramics and slip-case editions in Bajío, Mexico. The ‘aesthete’ practices traditional pottery across the globe, perfecting her Bajío earthenware and oxide glazing techniques.
