An elegant manifestation of the ancient lost-wax casting process, the six-stem Alga candle holder begins life as a wax sculpture, cast then melted away to be replaced by molten bronze. Working from her Milan atelier, Visconti kneads and shapes everything by hand in organic forms recalling living seaweed.
