Maar Design
Sara Bezzon doesn't believe the maker should have the final word. Through Maar Design, she creates tableware that leaves room for surprise, embracing the dialogue between pigment, resin, texture, and time. The name itself comes from maar, a volcanic lake formed when opposing natural forces collide, an apt metaphor for work born from equal parts intention and unpredictability. Handcrafted in Italy, each lacquered placemat begins with Bezzon's hand before nature gently takes over. Painted surfaces, reactive finishes, and layered pigments shift and settle in unexpected ways, creating abstract landscapes that can never be repeated. Here, imperfection isn't corrected or concealed; it's invited in, becoming the signature of every piece.
