Los Encajeros recruits the most delicate natural linen for its Spring collection. Basque lace-makers craft the pieces at the family workshop in Bilbao, embroidering them by hand with meticulous detail to carve out each flower, frond and scalloped edge.

Maker

The fabric is the thing at this fourth-generation lace-maker. Established in Bilbao to manufacture lace veils, the atelier now focuses on luxury tableware distinguished by fine needlework and subtle changes in colour. Seamstresses toil over minute details, working linen into creations as delicate as lingerie with scallop edges and traditional flourishes.
