Quiet and understated are the code words for Dušan’s collections, which are held up by an uncompromising commitment to fabric and fit. His cashmeres, for example, are sourced from the finest houses across Italy. This sweater, with its chunky handle and demure turtleneck, effortlessly captures his pure and simple philosophy.
Since founding his eponymous line in 1999, Serbia-born Dušan Paunovic has remained one of Milan’s best-kept secrets. Erring on androgynous minimalism, his collections are quiet and considered with fabrics of the highest quality at the fore; only when he’s sourcing Japanese cotton does he divert from his Italian-everything formula. But his chunky cashmere and liquid silks don’t work alone, as they find movement in masterful silhouettes and muted palettes.
