Royale clean-burning candles are named for their former role illuminating the King’s apartments in Versailles. Handcrafted by master candle-makers from superior-quality wax, the burgundy tapers are dripless, smokeless and hand-dyed in small lots at Trudon’s atelier in Normandy. Each candle burns for seven hours.

Claude Trudon started selling spices and candles at Rue Saint Honoré in 1643. Now, the world’s oldest candlemaker produces candles in Normandy using Tuscan glass vessels, woven cotton wicks and the 'Deo Regique Laborant' emblem, meaning 'the bees work for God and the King'. Their partnership with Orne Dark Bee Conservatory reinforces their values for conservation and good beekeeping practices.
