Patch Cotton Bed Cushion

Sister by Studio Ashby’s foray into the world of textile design was fuelled by the late journalist Jocasta Innes. Up until recently, founder Sophie Ashby and her family rented her former Georgian-era home in Spitalfields, which provided her with ample fuel for her pattern research. This cotton bed cushion features the Patch print, a flat-woven kilim made up of a rich chequerboard. Each energetic detail is woven by hand with the same craft of centuries gone by.

Her pieces are woven by hand using centuries-old techniques and finished with eclectic, rich details.
