Silvia Furmanovich's Silk Road collection is inspired by her travels throught Uzbekistan, from Tashkent and Samarkand to Kilva. While visiting these places, she met with the finest craftspeople and learned of their traditions, including techniques such as suzani and ikat. Through this series – and as an extension, this jewellery box – she uses fine marquetry and fallen wood to write a love letter to her travels and teachings.

London-based Rosemary Milner is a pattern designer and embroiderer who holds nature dear to her heart. For her beautiful textiles, she finds inspiration from rural spaces such as the North Yorkshire moors, moved by the flora and fauna that live there. As a result, her pieces have personal touches and rural narratives that speak to her favourite places and outdoor encounters. Look out for the intricate techniques she uses to bring these themes to life, such as lino printing, silk screen printing and copper etching.
