In Peter Speliopoulos’ Neo Geodes series, jades and blues are layered atop one another to create the illusion that each full form is bursting with the energy of cracked geodes, uncovering the secrets of earth’s natural treasures. This vase, only at ABASK, was designed for our first physical and international event at Salon Art + Design 2023 in NYC.

Artist and polymath Peter Speliopoulos has manifested his lifelong passion for colour, texture and craft through many forms, from fashion and opera costume design to handcrafted homeware. He developed a love for material and construction while growing up in Springfield, Massachusetts, leading him to study at Parsons School of Design. Following this, he worked for esteemed fashion houses such as Donna Karan New York, where he was named creative director. Now, he applies these skills to leather and suede table accessories that are intended to heighten the senses and present the balance between the contemporary and the primitive, all while honouring the way of life of the past, present and future.
