Ceramic Butter Dish

A wonderful addition to your kitchen, this ceramic butter dish is the work of QEST scholar Matthew Foster. It’s crafted by hand in his workshop in St Ives, Cornwall, where he’s influenced by potters such as Bill Marshall and John Reeve, alongside his peers at the Leach Pottery. The results – as you can see with this piece – celebrate ideas of the ‘imperfect’ with slight irregularities in shape, colour and form, all contributing to the rustic, natural finish.
