Crafted from a Japanese Nara oak felled near Ido Ferber's studio, this wooden fruit bowl is turned on a wood lathe to create a smooth texture and finished with Fuki urushi - a traditional Japanese lacquer technique that adds durability and a beautiful sheen. Display it on a kitchen worktop with colourful fruit and vegetables inside.

Israeli-born potter and woodworker, Ido Ferber relies heavily on nostalgia to inform his work; the frivolity of his childhood spent roaming in the countryside. The forms and geometrics of his everyday home objects are also inspired by the artist’s natural surroundings, focusing heavily on imperfections and experimental processes. Ideating and creating out of his Tokyo workshop, each creation combines techniques from many different crafting fields, whether wood-forming or metalwork.
