Since 1978, Hector Saxe has been reinventing traditional games. With this compendium, we see multiple classics receive the signature treatment. Self-taught Michel and Patricia Saxe kick-started Hector Saxe in 1978 with a simple vision: to reframe traditional games as a key part of home design. To do so, they found the finest materials – think precious wood and Italian leather – while staying alert to current trends. From their workshop in Bastille, they craft every piece by hand, making expert, innovative craftsmanship feel like child’s play. And while their story began with backgammon, they’ve since expanded to cover all other elements of games night, from a light-hearted shut the box match to a high-stakes poker tournament.
