Cobra Brass Candle Holder

The Cobra candle holder, from a mid-century design by Carl Auböck II, is still being produced at the original Vienna workshop. It's cast in the original brass moulds, then hand-refined, polished and wrapped in cane by a small team of artisans selected by the new generation of Auböcks. Please note, as this piece is made and finished by hand, slight markings and imperfections may occur. These only add to its unique character.

After years at the forefront of the Bauhaus and Wiener Werkstätte traditions, Carl IV still works in the same atelier with the original brass moulds. He has modernised the hand-worked desk sets with input from designers like Michael Anastassiades, yet the handmade ethos remains.
