Rikke Falkow

Danish architect Rikke Falkow’s eponymous studio is guided by the Shaker community and its purity-focused philosophy. Her home accessories are designed and developed in line with these ideals, and every craft story respects the more-than-200-year-old traditions established by the 18th-century sect. Boxes, trays and other storage heroes are made by hand according to the original drawings and artisanal methods, with hand-rubbed oil finishes and hard wax fortifications for durability. Falkow selects only the highest quality cherry wood, and pieces are often finished with small but mighty details like solid copper tacks and wooden dowels.
