Story

From around the mid-17th century, apothecary jars were detailed with inscriptions that would bear Latin abbreviations of their contents. Deciphering them provides an insight into the vast array of ingredients that would have been stored within, such as ’tiglio’ for linden and ‘malva’ for mallow. Each vessel in this set secures with a dome-like lid. Due to their age, they are intended for decorative use only. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
