Charles X’s reign as King of France between the years of 1824 and 1830 came with a style of design that favoured simplicity, strictness and ideals inspired by Greco-Roman art. This copper mould from the 1830s is a wonderfully rare product of its time, complete with fluted, clean-lined ridges.
