One Murano maestro and three artisans handmade the Macchia su Macchia tray in Milan; reimagining the traditional Venetian Macchia technique, where multiple fusions of blue and ivory glass flakes melt onto each other to create an entirely unique terrazzo-style pattern. Fill it with potpourri, foil-wrapped treats or serve bite-sized appetisers.

Primarily working with Murano blown glass, the Milan-based studio works with local artisans who are committed to keeping Italian glasswork and candlemaking traditions alive. One Murano glass technique involves repurposing shards of previously blown glass, and fusing the transparent coloured shards with opaque white glass to create a playful, and entirely unique, terrazzo-style pattern. A truly artisanal process.
