At her core, Marisa Klaster is a storyteller. First, through the medium of art direction, a career she excelled at for many years, and now, as a maker of hand-turned wooden objects that reflect and comment on the world around us. Some pieces are useful, some decorative, and other materials like stone, ceramic and leather often join the narrative. Marisa has a knack for putting the fun in functional, like her stackable tableware in deep-toned American walnut, each piece realised in her Rotterdam workshop and destined for a discerning dining room.
