Founded in 1920 as firearm makers, El Casco applied its manufacturing expertise to fine stationery and desk essentials. This vintage-inspired chrome-plated pencil sharpener is manufactured in steel and finished in copper and nickel. But not before being repeatedly polished using electroplating lines to create an exceptionally lustrous shine.

After producing high-quality revolvers, El Casco revitalised its existing manufacturing skills and equipment — including milling machines, buffers and electroplating baths — to create handmade stationery in the heart of Northern Spain. Today, each piece is polished a minimum of six times and automatic electroplating lines are used to resemble the high-shine finishes seen in jewellery.
