Husband-and-wife duo Andrea Brugi and Samina Langholz, who started their passion project just under 20 years ago, believe the "secret sauce" to their success is a combination of his Tuscan roots and her Danish upbringing. Working predominantly with olivewood—a material that always felt like home to Andrea—as well as vintage and reclaimed alternatives collected from old furniture and renovation projects, they craft one-of-a-kind serving boards and organically shaped kitchen utensils entirely by hand. They are firm advocates that no individual can determine what the results should look like—instead, it’s all down to the grain and shape of the wood in question, be it a centuries-old tree stump, a rafter rescued from a local church, or a gnarled piece of reclaimed timber.
