Though he followed in his father’s footsteps, Carl Auböck III took the family business in a distinctly Modernist direction, drawing on his reverence for mid-century aesthetics and the artists who shaped them, such as Walter Gropius and Charles and Ray Eames. Even so, he brought his own perspective to the movement, demonstrating the singularity of Austrian design and the Auböck name through striking pieces such as these almost-anthropomorphic, horn-handled sandwich forks. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
