A pioneer in Austrian Modernism, Bauhaus-trained Carl Auböck II never let function get in the way of beauty or play, satisfying the former with his expertise in traditional Viennese metalworking while remaining faithful to his imagination. As such, the hand-produced objects that came out of his family workshop are sought after to this day, such as this ash tray, which masquerades as an oversized brass padlock. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
