A pioneer in Austrian Modernism, Bauhaus-trained Carl Auböck II never let function get in the way of beauty or play, satisfying the former with his expertise in traditional Viennese metalworking while remaining faithful to his imagination. As such, the hand-produced objects that came out of his family workshop are sought after to this day, such as his rolltop cigarette boxes, with this iteration offering a rare dual compartment with the lids opening in opposing directions. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
