Story

Towards the end of the 19th century, a group of French avant-garde ceramicists determined that pottery should be regarded as an art form. Trompe-l’oeil ceramics capture this in their entirety; not only are they striking to look at, but provided a faithful source of entertainment at endless banquets. This bowl from the 1960s fools the eye like no other – it'd look right at home in any bread basket. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
