During his tenure at the creative helm of Gustavsberg, Wilhelm Kåge produced many sought-after collections. However, few have such enduring appeal as his Argenta series. Kåge had a particular affinity for aquatic colors, and a mottled turquoise glaze is a defining feature of some of the most iconic Argenta pieces. So too is the addition of silver inlay motifs; in the case of this vase—from a collaboration with Mari Simmulson—a mermaid catching a fish. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
