From her studio in Marseille, French artist Sarah Espeute – founder of Oeuvres Sensibles – handcrafts embroidered table linen that has a poetic, minimalist slant. She sources her linen and cotton from all over France, hand-selecting fabrics with rich family histories and lifespans of around 50-100 years. Each modest piece, be it a napkin or tablecloth, tells a story of its own, capturing nostalgic moments through humble scenes from daily life.
