Kaneko Kohyo’s Giyaman bowls are shaped like chrysanthemums, the flower that features prominently throughout Japanese design from wallpaper to 50-yen coins. They’re finished in an indigo blue ‘urushi’ lacquer which lends them a striking glass-like appearance. Perfectly sized for serving pickled vegetables and condiments.

Kaneko Kohyo
A century ago Kaneko Kohyo fired its first porcelain at a mountaintop kiln in Toki, Japan. The pottery studio is best known for its inimitable, high-quality ceramics.
