Venini 1987 Laura de Santillana Monofiore Hand-Blown Murano Glass Perfume Bottle

Bs2,550

In 1976, Laura de Santillana returned to Italy and started to collaborate with Venini. Her time at the atelier aligned with Paolo Venini’s granddaughter’s period of experimentation, who utilised several Murano techniques to create unusual colour combinations. This perfume bottle is one product of the partnership – its unique character is reminiscent of an ancient treasure uncovered. Note the cap in particular, comparable to a curious floret blooming upward.

Meet the Maker:

Venini

Venini is one of the oldest Venetian glass masters, established in 1921 by Paolo Venini who yearned for something original. From new layered glass techniques, to reimagining the 16th-century mezza filigrana, the brand redefined glassblowing aesthetics; embracing the avant-garde, while nodding to past traditions. For our exclusive collaboration, we reworked Venini’s most-celebrated Fazzoletto vase, originally made in 1948.
