Story

A very Rudi take on a wicker tray, the Nassa series marries leather weaving with a dark-stained zinc metal frame. With the lighter-toned leather options, this contrast creates an almost illustrative, Pop Art effect. The leather in question is the studio’s trademarked regenerated hide that’s comprised of vegetable-tanned cast-offs, rubber, and other natural elements in a process that adheres to the studio’s zero-waste philosophy.

Maker

Rudi is the eponymous studio launched by Rudi Rabitti in 1996 and currently under the stewardship of Simone Fanciullacci. To this day, it has championed sustainable, zero-waste design and innovation, uniting these upstanding principles with generations of Italian savoir-faire. Its creations can be playful, stately, or graphic but always minimalist, and one mainstay is the brand’s own invention—Tecnocuoio, a durable, elegant, water-resistant leather made primarily of repurposed vegetable-tanned cast-offs.
