Story

Laboratorio Paravicini's Rocaille dinner plates are a playful nod to the Rococo style that adorned 18th-century palaces and gardens. Screen printed in Milan, each one is decorated with wind-blown fronds, stones and the odd winged friend. The refined collection is complete with a darkly romantic hand-painted border.

Maker

Costanza Paravicini calls her Milan workshop a "wunderkammer" – a gallery of curiosities for connoisseurs of fine hand-painted design. Her ceramic plates are like storybooks with the designs, by her daughters Benedetta and Margherita, hand-painted or silk-screened to depict fantastical scenes of snakes, monkeys and hot air-balloons.
