Since childhood, brothers Francesco and Mario Ballarin dreamed of turning their love for glassmaking into a career – something that became a reality in 1956. Their early days saw them experiment with various techniques such as grinding and borosilicate processing, but it was filigree-rod blowing that really struck a chord and helped them to establish their signature style. Today, Mario’s son Angelo is at the helm, building on the passion project handed down by his elders.
