German silversmith Robbe & Berking has been a family-run enterprise since its founding in 1874 and is in its fifth and sixth generations today. While trends, designs, and technologies have evolved, an unwavering commitment to quality and a motto of Manu Factum—made by hand—continue to lead the company in the 2020s. Moments of innovation echo through the centuries, from significant design partnerships to the 1969 development of ultra-luxe 150g solid silver plating. To this day, each piece of silver-plated cutlery and serveware is crafted by skilled artisans in the manufactory in Flensburg, northern Germany, passing through several layers of quality control until it is deemed perfect and can receive the Robbe & Berking signature stamp.
