Italian glass designer Fulvio Bianconi began his career in glassmaking as an apprentice in the Murano furnaces. Under the direction of Michael Pinto, he worked with an array of publishers as an illustrator and graphic designer. In 1946, his relationship with Venini started to take shape, resulting in impressive collaborations that balance simple silhouettes with striking details – a formula that rings true in this vase from the 1980s, characterised by an arrangement of multicoloured mosaic tiles.
Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
