Carlo Scarpa’s Pennellate series for Venini celebrated clear glass forms with large brush strokes, or as Scarpa described them, ‘large torn-out colour spots’. The effect is achieved on this 1940s bowl by adding small quantities of coloured opaque glass during the blowing process and dragging them around until they reach the desired result. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
