Their creative liaison is built on stylistic renewal and Italian craftsmanship, which is honoured today in a series of reissues. The Canne series, designed in 1952 for the 26th Venice Biennale, is a burst of exuberance. The technique used involves the juxtaposition of six thin strips of cold-coloured glass, which are fused together and shaped while hot to create the kaleidoscopic effect you see on this pitcher.
