Story

Hand-knitted in Scotland from pure wool, the Ultraviolet cardigan combines chunky cables with bold stripes and practical patch pockets. Press-stud fastenings and adjustable cotton ties lend structure, while handwoven tapestry embroidery and neon accents bring a playful twist. The piece embodies La Fetiche’s close collaboration with Fife-based Di Gilpin, where heritage craft is reimagined with a modern eye.

Maker

La Fetiche came to life in 2017, when April Crichton and Orély Forestier began weaving their Glasgow–Paris connection into a shared vision of lasting design. They work with artisans across Scotland and France, creating garments with a spirit all their own. For ABASK, they call on master knitter Di Gilpin, who works from Comielie Farm in Fife, patiently guiding merino wool from thread to finished piece over the course of months. From chunky socks to the perfect handmade wool sweater, every stitch carries the imprint of its maker and serves as a quiet reminder that the best things take time.
