The Design Names To Know
Introducing a selection of our marvellous new makers

Kickie Chudikova
Kickie Chudikova was born into a world of color. Raised in Bratislava, Slovakia, she grew up in a modernist house where each wall wore a different hue—a remnant of the previous tenant, a painter. Rather than paint over the past, her parents leaned in, layering bold floral carpets, orange pendant lights and green kitchen cabinets into the mix. Now based in Brooklyn, Chudikova brings that chromatic legacy into everything she creates, from Murano glass lamps to Bohemian crystal carafes. There’s a sense of optimism in her work, as if she’s bottling joy for the home. She moves confidently between the worlds of craft and technology, but it’s color that remains her north star.
Pinetti
Founded in Bagnatica in 1983, Pinetti is a family-run atelier known for its refined approach to Italian craft. Though originally rooted in leather goods, the brand has become celebrated for its sculptural games, each made by hand. These designs are made to be both played and displayed: competitors lift lids and unfold compartments to reveal faceted interiors, where brass pawns, wooden checkers and sculpted poker pieces settle into place. Like heirlooms in miniature, Pinetti’s games and accessories speak to the magic of memories made at home.

River Valadez
Based in New York City, River Valadez crafts hand-blown glassware that’s anything but ordinary. With wiggly shapes and bursts of joyful color, his designs are made to raise a glass to every occasion—whether it’s a shaken-not-stirred martini or a sparkling champagne tower. Each piece overflows with personality and charm, proving that when it comes to good design, it’s always glass half full. Rooted in Mexican craftsmanship, River’s vibrant stemware blends tradition with whimsy, turning every sip into a sparkling celebration.
Thalia Maria Silver
Athens-born Thalia Maria knew early on that her path would be a creative one. She began with jewelry design, but her eye soon wandered to larger forms—and so began her training in goldsmithing and metalwork. It was here she found her medium in silver, and she’s worked exclusively with it ever since. Splitting her time between Athens and London, Thalia hand-forges sculptural flatware that honors nature, tradition and the quiet rituals of everyday life. Though simple in theory, her sterling silver spoons and servers are anything but. Each piece is a pared-back, purposeful meditation on form and function.

Marie Daâge
Marie Daâge is a French porcelain painter who has redefined the art of tableware. Since founding her maison in 1990, she has blended the heritage of 18th-century French porcelain with contemporary artistry, creating bespoke, hand-painted Limoges pieces that are as much canvas as they are vessel. Each one is painted entirely by hand in France and adorned with a hand-polished, 24-karat matte gold filet. For her, laying the table is like dressing up; it’s about layering, accessorizing and expressing your own sense of style. The result is hand-painted porcelain with poise and personality, meant to be used, admired and passed on.
Adam Ross
Trained at the Glasgow School of Art and now based in London, Adam Ross approaches ceramics with the eye of a sculptor and the hand of a craftsman. Each piece begins on the wheel, but rarely ends there; Ross carves, slices and reshapes his forms while still in motion, leaving behind traces of process that feel both intentional and instinctive. The result is tableware that’s quietly expressive: faceted vessels with soft angles, natural glazes and a tactile presence that invites use. At once grounded and gently off-kilter, his work celebrates the unexpected beauty that comes from letting materials lead the way.

Pigment France
Founded in Saultain, northern France, Pigment France turns natural materials into everyday art. Artisans handweave rattan, willow and straw into refined patterns, using Osier—a wild willow prized for its strength and sustainability—alongside innovative TechStraw, a lightweight, waterproof braided fiber. These materials come together with soft European leather, carefully stitched to create pieces both tactile and timeless. From trays to coffee makers, Pigment France’s work invites the quiet pleasure of ritual, bringing texture and warmth to daily life.
Valentina Hoyos
Valentina Hoyos crafts textiles that feel like an embrace. Based in France, she draws on decades of experience working alongside skilled women artisans in Central Colombia, weaving natural cotton and sisal into cushions, throws and bedspreads that bring texture and life to any room. Each piece is handmade with care, its subtle imperfections and soft hues a quiet celebration of tradition and craft. More than just textiles, her collections invite moments of comfort and connection, wrapping everyday spaces in stories told through thread and weave.

Mahnaz Collection
Mahnaz Ispahani Bartos, a greatly admired New York curator and collector, discovered her love of jewelry as a child through gifts from her Pakistani mother and Iranian grandmother, including Persian turquoise earrings and rings, Meenakari bangles and an Omega watch designed by Andrew Grima. Witness to two revolutions, she set aside this young love for 25+ years of scholarship on matters of global wars and peace. In 2013, however, she returned to her passion, jewelry, turning it into a profession with the launch of Mahnaz Collection, a gallery celebrating global beauty. Her eclectic curation spans renowned and lesser-known names from various eras, all united by exceptional originality, artistry and craftsmanship.
