Aptware, named after the small town in France, was originally inspired by the soils in the region – the results are unique marbleised melanges achieved with coloured glazes. This form of French faïence originated in the mid-18th century and has retained its charm ever since – this platter from the 1950s being a prime example. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
