Story

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Ted Todd has collaborated with ABASK to present Woodworks: an exclusive collection of exquisitely made objects for the home that spotlight the natural wonder of wood – be it antique, new or reclaimed. This carving pedestal pushes the boundaries of scale with its monumental proportions. It's handmade in the UK from antique pine, highlighting the maker’s commitment to reclaiming and restoring old materials in the name of sustainable innovation. Due to the age of the wood, some splits and cracks may occur. This is part of the natural life cycle and isn’t an indication of defects. All designs come with mineral oil to help you care for them.

Maker

Ted Todd’s story began in 1993 after the CEO, Robert Walsh, spent a summer restoring reclaimed pine floorboards in his parents’ back garden. Ever since, he’s continued to nurture his passion, working with specialists from across the UK for his handmade creations, all a celebration of the natural wonder of wood – be it brand new, reclaimed or antique. To mark its 30th anniversary, this maker has introduced an exclusive collection of objet d’arts in collaboration with ABASK. Each one pushes the boundaries in terms of both scale and design, made from beautiful woods and finished with discreet details that carry great beauty.
