Forge de Laguiole are the maestros of the original peasant’s knife, created in 1828. Since then, the exceptional design has evolved, thanks to expert cutlers who support century-old, no-weld forging techniques, alongside engraving, printing and polishing. Everything is made locally in the French village of Laguiole — look out for the iconic Bee motif chiselled with a file and punch.
