Founded by Jia-Jia Zhu, the namesake purveyor of crystals cultivates an intentional connection between the earth we walk on and the beautiful objects we seek to elevate our lives. Zhu’s colourful background features a childhood between East and West – Shanghai and California – where she would collect crystals and stones from the beaches of the Golden State, and a stint as a jewellery buyer. But it was during her studies of yoga, meditation and reiki in Bali that her fascination with semi-precious stones was further charged, and her calling became crystal clear. Each Jia Jia creation is forged from ethically sourced, uncut crystals that undergo an ancient purification ritual – resulting in a blank canvas to impart the metaphysical energies unique to each type unto the beholder.
