Giberto’s Teardrop collection is hand-blown by Venetian artisans using grey Murano glass. Characterised by a ruby rim, the ancient rigà-menà technique is applied, where a drop of hot glass trickles down the surface to create a teardrop effect. It is then hot-sealed and solidified in an entirely unique way.

Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga grew up surrounded by frescoes of Giambattista Tiepolo, which deeply influenced his creative eye. Fascinated by glassmaking, Giberto creates watercolour sketches of his designs on tracing paper and passes them on to skilled Murano glassmakers, who bring each creation to life using Venetian furnaces.
