Story

American designer Ed Tuttle designed this silver Ball ice bucket in 2012 in homage to Josef Hoffmann, known for punctuating his Modernist designs with semi-precious stones. Jade spheres for the handles and feet complement the gentle curves of Tuttle’s design, handcrafted at the Wiener Silber workshop in Vienna. Please note, as this piece is made and finished by hand, slight markings and imperfections may occur.

Maker

Producers of fine silverware since 1882, Wiener Silber Manufactur is the brainchild of trained gold and silversmith, Alexander Sturm. Now, the brand has evolved its processes, transforming paper sketches into flat sheet metal and three-dimensional designs. Working predominantly with high-quality silver alloy, each piece involves exposing silver to heat and acid, then manipulating it with rollers, hammers and cutters.
