Story

While much modern art was banned in former Czechoslovakia during the mid-century, this was not the case for glass; instead, designers could work freely, which led to a boom in creativity that built on the region’s centuries-old learnings. This bowl from the 1970s is utilises the sommerso technique, where two or more layers of coloured glass are merged together. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
