Inspired by the theme of light, Futigami’s Moon chopstick rests are part of a collaboration with designer Oji Masanori. The functional piece is cut from sand-cast solid brass, with a refined, shimmering lustre that allows it to double up as a decorative object.

Takaoka-born brand, Futagami has been creating contemporary brass livingware since 1897. Sand-casted moulds and a crude-cast finish define Futagami’s unparalleled aesthetic, which is renowned for its rich patina that develops over time due to the brass oxidation process.
