Story

Envol is an apt name for this collection by Pinto, translating from French to ‘in flight’. The Limoges porcelain pieces echo this sentiment, as each one is detailed with hand-painted sketches of flocks of birds and leafy foliage. These unite to form a rural scene that's accentuated by the earthy colour palette.

Maker

The late Alberto Pinto is a legendary figure in the world of art and design, celebrated for his embrace of different cultures and eclecticism. At the beginning of his career, he worked with notable industry names – such as David Hicks and Luis Barragán – until he felt ready to take on a personal project in the 1960s, and what better than the design of his own apartment? Such rich heritage is honoured today in Pinto's beautiful collections. Original hand-painted designs echo the aesthetic of the founder while celebrating fine materials and exceptional craft.
