Though minimalism became de rigueur in the second half of the 20th century, few embraced the principles of pared-back design as fully as the Scandinavians. Åke Strömdahl is one such designer, who was known primarily for his work with sterling silver, particularly the clean and simple lines exemplified by pieces such as this vase. Please note, this item is a truly original vintage piece with slight imperfections and distinctive characteristics that add to its charm and celebrate its unique history.
