Artist and designer Tapio Wirkkala started collaborating with Venini in the mid-1960s. He was widely known for putting the incalmo technique on everyone’s radar and often combined it with other methods such as mezzafiligrana and murrine. Here, we see his contribution in the form of a 1960s bowl, complete with spiraled glass thread.
